Melissa is a Freelance Commercial Hair+Makeup Artist +Groomer based in the Seattle area. (Travel Available)

She is a Gene Juarez Graduate and Licensed Cosmetologist, working in all facets of Advertising for a wide variety of clients in Print, TV, Video, Fashion and more.

​

Known for creating impeccable, natural-looking skin for a global range of clients of all age groups, her jobs range between Lifestyle and Athletic to Editorial, Beauty to Fashion Advertising and everything in between. Having her Cosmetology License she is also able to style and cut hair as needed on set.

​

Melissa began her beauty career first at Sephora, then spent the next 11 years both as a Makeup Artist and managing Cosmetic Brands and Skincare (including many years with NARS Cosmetics) at Barneys New York. Working with such discerning clients greatly honed her attention to detail and the importance of education. After many years building her portfolio and clientelle, she finally went full-time Freelance three years ago and has not looked back since.

A natural "People Person", every client who sits in her chair immediately feels comfortable and welcomed. Her professionalism and easy going nature make long days on set easy and fun. Melissa enjoys the creative process of working with her Clients to ensure their vision is fully realized through the Vanities side!

Melissa is married to the love of her life, whom she has been with since she was 18. He's a Golf Pro, and a great dog dad to their (high-maintenance but sweet!) rescue Havanese, Duncan.

​

Her hobbies include travel, reading books and fashion magazines (In another life she would have worked at Vogue) writing, drawing, taking a million iphone photos, discovering new restaurants,and musuem exhibits, shopping, spa days and spending time with friends and family. And most importantly, getting quality time in with her husband and dog.
